This page is dedicated to the memory of
the late Pete Harris, popular singer, song writer, musician,
good friend and family. Songs on this page are Pete Harris'
originals as well as many other great songs scattered
throughout different pages of this site.
I dedicate this page to Pete for his love
of everything Florida. He sang a lot about fishing but was
more into watching the manatee and dolphins at home in the
Indian River and Inter-Coastal Waterway near the Sebastian
Inlet and St. Sebastian River. This of course with either a
beer in hand, his guitar or remote.
Pete spanned the Florida coast singing to
hundreds of thousands over the years opening for many famous
concert acts and playing in bars from Key West and Fort
Lauderdale to Boca Raton and Palm Beach. Eventually he
settled into and was adopted by Captain Hirams Resort in
Sebastian Florida.
The City of Sebastian held a musical
dedication ceremony on Earth Day 2009 at Riverview Park
where they unveiled a bronze plaque beside the fountain at
the center of the park honoring Pete Harris' memory
